Solo Cup Company Goes "Green"
Solo Cup Company with EATware goes green, launching new eco-friendly "Bare" line.
HIGHLAND PARK, IL, November 14, 2008 /Wisconsin News Articles/ -- Solo Cup Company and their co-brander, EATware , recently introduced a new line of "green" products called Bare . Solo is the highly prominent manufacturer of single-use products used to serve food and beverages for the consumer/retail, foodservice, and international markets. With the consumer market shifting towards eco-friendly products, it's only natural that one of the largest foodservice ware distributors would follow suit. Not only do they want to offer the market a "green" alternative to their paper, plastic, and foam products, but they insist on providing their consumers with the same quality they have come to expect from Solo. Their site explains, "Bare products are made with a simple philosophy. We take conventional convenience products and think about how we can make them work the same and provide a great value, but have a more favorable environmental footprint. We believe you shouldn't have to compromise to go green."
The new Bare line launched with two core products, bamboo plates and recycled cups—available in a few select test retailers and regions. In describing their new tableware line, Solo coins the term eco-forward . Solo, along with their co-brander EATware , are continually seeking, developing, and commercializing products that keep the environment safe for future generations. Solo quotes, "we understand that sustainability is one of the most pressing issues of our time. We are continually working towards manufacturing solutions that optimize materials and energy, maximize the use of renewable or recycled source materials, and have optimal product lifecycles."
So what makes Bare tableware superior to the competition? Strength and biodegradability. Their plates are all natural, 100% biodegradable, and made from highly renewable bamboo fibers. What sets Bare apart from the rest is their patented 100% organic additive, which enhances the fibers and allows their products to be oil and water-resistant even at high temperatures yet remain highly biodegradable. No chemical additive can compare. This means their plates are not only refrigerator, freezer, and microwave safe, but they can also be placed in the oven up to 400˚F for thirty minutes. Revolutionary. What's even more impressive is their price. Because Bare bamboo plates use no expensive chemicals, they remain competitive with traditional paper, plastic, and foam alternatives yet offer a much greater advantage to our environment.
Keep an eye out for Bare tableware at your local retailers. If you'd like to learn more about this eco-forward brand, check out Solo's or EATware's website.
