EATware returns to SIAL '08 France
EATware 100% biodegradable foodservice ware and packaging returns to SIAL '08 France.
PARIS, FRANCE, November 14, 2008 /Wisconsin News Articles/ -- This October, EATware International, Ltd. returned to Paris, France to exhibit at SIAL, The Global Food Marketplace. SIAL is one of the world's leading food industry shows—showcasing innovative products and presenting global consumer trends. Over 140,000 visitors and 5,300 exhibitors from 191 different countries attended this key event for food industry professionals. SIAL attracts food manufacturers, distributors, importers, retailers, wholesalers, and institutional and commercial caterers from around the world.
EATware once again had a great response by attendees as well as other exhibitors thrilled to see an eco-friendly, sustainable solution to their food service and packaging needs. With the world's growing need and demand for "green" alternatives, EATware 's 100% biodegradable product line attracts those businesses and institutions trying to move away from using paper, plastic, and polystyrene. In fact, several cities in the U.S., such as Berkeley, Portland, San Francisco, and Oakland, have outright banned the use of polystyrene food containers. In addition, many cities in countries like Canada, Ireland, France, Italy, India, Australia, and China have either banned or put a tax on the use of plastic bags and are considering the same for polystyrene. Such global movement makes finding eco-friendly alternatives like EATware crucial and in some cases mandatory.
EATware grabs people's attention not only because their products are all natural, but they are made from highly renewable bamboo fibers. What sets EATware apart from the rest is their patented 100% organic additive, EATplus , which enhances the fibers and allows their products to be oil and water-resistant even at high temperatures yet remain highly biodegradable. No chemical additive can compare.
EATware offers a wide array of products for the food market. Their exhibit displayed bowls, plates, burger boxes, and to-go containers for the food service industry as well as containers and trays for food packaging and display. They have trays designed specifically to hold apples or peppers, vented containers for strawberries or mushrooms, trays to package meat or fish, as well as pizza and multi-compartment trays.
In order to keep foods fresh, EATware products are designed to be heat-sealed; otherwise they also sell clear or fiber lids. They even offer buyers the unique option of patterned or colored trays using a lamination. What's even more impressive is their price. Because EATware uses no expensive chemicals, they remain competitive with paper and plastic alternatives yet offer a much greater advantage to our environment.
